User Experience (UX) Designer

Integral member of the software development team tasked to re-design the entire User Experience for an online payment company. In this very important and highly visible role, will work very closely with senior management to design a much-improved user experience for our large client base, in addition to working closely with UI designers to turn these ideas into a reality.

 

Highly Proficient at: User studies/evaluations, data collection and analysis, user questionnaires and interviews, statistical analysis tools, heuristic evaluations.

Design:  User Stories, Use cases, wireframes, sitemaps, prototyping, sketching.

Tools: MS Office, Photoshop, Balsamiq, Expression Blend, Expression Web, Tableau, Dreamweaver.

Programming Languages: HTML/HTML5, XML, CSS, JavaScript

 

Job Requirements

  • Conduct evaluation of the existing user interface in terms of flow, navigation, ease of-use, and content organization, to identify issues detracting from the user experience.
  • Identify solutions to address usability issues and improve the user experience, and created prototypes for recommended design changes and iteratively improved them.
  • Manage the UX development and implementation of recommended UI changes and other software deliverables (feature additions, patches, localization projects)
  • Prepare proposals for senior management that are clear and concise
  • Work closely with product management and UI designers
  • Design surveys and run user studies with large groups of clients and 3rd parties

 

Experience

3-5yrs of UX design expertise (portfolio samples or examples of previous work required)

Online payment and accounting software exposure preferred

Understands UX best practices and common usability pitfalls
